The Barrell Private Release Series is a project in detailed blending on a scale small enough to allow extreme precision.

The Private Release Series lets the brand exercise its blending expertise while maintaining a single barrel-like scale controlled entirely by hand and palate. The goal is always to maximize the best attributes of each component. Every ounce of every ingredient changes the overall character of these blends, as does the barrel in which each one is aged. For that reason, these barrels take months to polish and perfect. While the recipe for each release may not be replicated, the unique nature of each ingredient and the barrel they are married in makes every bottling singularly unique.

Each release of the Private Release Whiskey is a unique blend of whiskeys. Once created, these blends are married in single casks, many of which were previously used for other spirits and/or wines. In our case, our whiskey was finished in a PX Sherry cask. Each Private Release Whiskey series has a slightly different base whiskey and is entered into a finishing cask at a different time.

If we had to describe this release in one sentence, it would be “the dessert in the glass”. The PX Sherry influence is most definitely there in the most beautiful way possible. It enhances the base spirit and gives it a ton of layers that reveal themselves the deeper you get into your glass.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

• Nose: Toffee, oak, tanning leather, cigar, toasted coconut, roasted macadamia, almond skin, vanilla, burnt orange
• Palate: Caramel custard, pine sap, tangerine peel, meringue, maple syrup
• Finish: Molasses and Sichuan peppercorn

For the sticker, ourDiscord communitycame up with an excellent idea – Donkey Kong throwing barrels. We made them “Barrell Whiskey” barrels and turn the sticker into a lenticular one (Google it) – the result is one unbelievably creative sticker that will please any collector.
