The latter really adds its lifted herbal note to the mix, along with jammy red fruits as in raspberry and cherry. There is also a peppery note, perhaps from the syrah in the blend as well. Quite complex overall. It is medium weight, quite firm and well structured with a certain minerality and oak spice. The green olive notes carry on to the finish; the length is excellent. Tasted March 2022. Score – 92.
