Chateau Mont Redon Vieux Marc NV

Made from the skins of the red Chateauneuf du Pape grapes. Resulting from the distillation of the grape skins after vinification, this alcohol marc is very typical. Distillation is carried out in a still double wall where the solids are agitated in permanently to avoid caramelization. Furthermore, this distillation is done under partial vacuum in order to respect the fruity expression of aromas. Once distilled, this marc is aged in new Cognac barrels of 365 liters for 12 years years before being bottled at the estate. Shows notable ageing and caramelisation from the new oak maturation. Serve fresh but not chilled (and never warmed) to enjoy the aromas of this magnificently complex and lively eaux de vie.
